Z scale (1:220)

Z Scale is 1:220 of the full scale prototype. It is the smallest widely commercially available model railroad size. For those that want to have a railroad empire but don't have the space Z is your Scale! First marketed by Marklin in the early 70's . Over the years Z Scale manufactures have grown and more products have become available. Micro-Trains is a great supporter of Z Scale producing a great line of Z Scale Diesels, rolling stock, laser cut buildings and Micro-Track including switches. While somewhat more expensive than N Scale, Z Scale has come into its own with the model railroad community.
