Returns/Refund General Information
Please email us at Sales@TopHobbyTrains.com within 3 days of receipt of merchandise for a Return Merchandise Authorization number. Items must be returned with all original packaging, in unopened, unaltered, unused, new condition for store credit. Items returned must be received back at TopHobby within 7 business days of customer receipt and include a Return Merchandise Authorization number. Items received by TopHobby later than 7 business days or without a Return Merchandise Authorization number cannot be processed. All returns are at the discretion of TopHobby and a restocking fee will apply to returned items. PayPal and credit card processing fees are non-refundable and will be deducted from any and all refunds. This accounts for the fees imposed by PayPal and credit card processors at the time of purchase that are not refund back to us. There are no exceptions to this deduction. Items found to have been opened will be shipped back to the customer at the customer’s expense. There are no exceptions.
All sales of "On Sale" items are final. No returns or excahanges.
All Broadway Limited old stock Paragon 2 equipment sales are final. Please note that Paragon 2 locos TopHobbyTrains is selling are new, unused and unopened, but are no longer covered under Broadway Limited warranty.
Special order or installation items. Shop fees and Sound package fees are non-refundable.
Electronic items are non-refundable. These items are covered by the individual manufacturers and their warrantee programs. Repair work should be directed to manufacturer. TopHobby may be able to assist in this process please contact us at Sales@TopHobbyTrains.com.
Defective merchandise:
All items sold at TopHobby are new and backed by the Manufacturer. Please check with the manufacturer’s warranty details. TopHobby may be able to assist you to resolve a defective product issue. TopHobby may, at our discretion, take a defective item back for replacement and only if we have stock. Generally, however, we advise all buyers to contact the manufacturer to resolve defect issues. We do not give refunds for defective items only a like item replacement and only if the item is still in stock. We may, at our discretion, give a store credit. Some older inventory items may be out of warranty at the manufacturer due to age and manufacture date. Check with the respective manufacturer. TopHobby does not warranty products that we sell that are from other manufacturers under any circumstances or conditions.
To return merchandise please do the following:
1. On the shipping label indicate the RMA # obtained via email from us.
2. Include a note in the packaging indicating what is being returned and the reason.
3. Include all original packaging, instructions, warranty cards, etc. that were included with the item that is being returned.

Shipping insurance: TopHobby offers our customers the option to purchase shipping insurance. Click here to go to the shipping insurance page. All returns should be shipped via a carrier that provides tracking and insurance. USPS, FedEx & UPS and all provide these shipping services.
