Medford Talent and Lakecreek MT&L N Scale Micro-Trains
987 50 695 - MT&L FT Diesel - rel 6/2022 Built in September of 1944, this EMD FT locomotive was a 1,350 horsepower diesel-electric locomotive and was purchased by the Medford, Talent & Lakecreek as a replacement for their aging steam locomotives. MT&L’s small fleet of FT’s quickly became their primary road and switching power and were used for decades until being repainted in the early 1970s and eventually retired.
100 50 570 - MT&L Caboose - rel 6/2022 Built in 1947, this caboose was shopped several times, receiving roof upgrades, interior reconditioning, and new amenities. It replaced older wooden cabooses, and served the Medford, Talent & Lakecreek on local and transfer trains. It was repainted in the early 1970s and retired from most revenue freight service in the 1980s.
020 50 307 - MT&L Boxcar - rel 7/2022 Built by Medford, Talent & Lakecreek in 1944 from a Pullman Standard design, this car served various industries carrying commodities such as textiles, grains, and other general freight around the Rogue Valley. 045 50 490 - MT&L Flat Car with Load - rel 7/2022 Built in 1936, this general service flat car was used by various industries around the Rogue Valley, carrying everything from heavy machine parts to fruit crates.
114 50 170 - MT&L RR Log Car - rel 8/2022 Built in 1922 as a narrow guage car, this spine car was eventually rebuilt to standard gauge with Bettendorf trucks and used by the various logging industries around the Rogue Valley

021 50 621 - MT&L Pear Box Car 39014 - rel 1/2023 Built by Medford, Talent & Lakecreek in 1950, this 40’ insulated plug-door car with Bettendorf trucks served various canneries around the Rogue Valley. The Medford, Talent & Lakecreek Railroad was established in 1918 to serve the communities throughout Oregon’s Rogue Valley, helping move commodities to the Southern Pacific interchanges.
