This 70’ heavyweight baggage car runs on 6-wheel passenger car trucks and served as the Fire Prevention Instruction Car. This traveling classroom was painted red with yellow and orange flames painted on the sides, reinforcing the need for fire prevention. The X1828’s dramatic paint scheme also included GN heralds on each side.
