This ATSF red 50' standard box car with single door and no roofwalk has the Santa Fe "Circle Cross" logo with the "Shock Control…a smoother ride" slogan and runs on black Roller Bearing trucks. Built at the Topeka Shop in 1961, #12002 Class BX-79 was originally equipped with a shock-control underframe and "SL" restraining devices. The absence of the circle "SL" in the upper right hand corner indicates that by 1976 the "SL" load restraining equipment had been removed.
