This box car red 50' standard box car with plug and single sliding doors and no roofwalk has black ends, aluminum roof and white 'Action Road' paint scheme and runs on black roller bearing trucks. Built in June of 1967 by General American Transportation Corp., this 100 car series has a combination eight-foot sliding door and seven-foot auxiliary plug door. Most of the Grande’s combination door cars were used in general service. The 15-foot total opening also made them adaptable for hauling wallboard and forest products. Cars are equipped with a 20-inch travel cushioned underframe.|
