This 40' standard box car with plug door and no roofwalk is car #13 of a 44-car series representing each of the presidents of the United States. It bears the portrait of our 19th president, Rutherford B. Hayes. Hayes' decision to favor Paraguay in arbitration following the War of the Triple Alliance in South America made him a hero. A city, a regional historical museum, schools, roads as well as a soccer team in Paraguay were named for him.
