This red 50' gondola with fishbelly sides and drop ends displays large, white "Burlington" letters, white stenciling and the "Burlington Route" herald. It exhibits white lettering and runs on black Barber® roller bearing trucks. Last shopped in July 1959, this gondola was one of 200 built in 1955. From Lake Michigan to the Rockies, and from Montana to the Gulf of Mexico, the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad and its subsidiaries operated 12,000 miles of track in 14 states.
