This 70’ heavyweight mail baggage car is Pullman green with white lettering and runs on 6-wheel passenger trucks. Before the advent of aircraft transporting mail across the country, railroads provided most of the bulk postal deliveries all over their routes.  Mail Baggage cars gave railroads the flexibility to carry both freight and mail to smaller communities when necessary.
